ITM Power
ITM Power manufactures integrated hydrogen energy solutions which are rapid response and high pressure that meet the requirements for grid balancing and energy storage services, and for the production of clean fuel for transport, renewable heat and chemicals.
Founded in 2001, ITM Power plc was admitted to the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange in 2004. The company received £4.9m as a strategic investment from JCB in March 2015. The company signed a forecourt siting agreement with Shell in September 2015. ITM Power operates out of two premises in Sheffield, UK with further offices in Germany, France the USA and Canada.
ITM Power opened its first public access hydrogen refuelling station, in South Yorkshire, off M1 Junction 33, in September 2015, that produces its hydrogen from wind energy on-site, at the point of use. In addition to stations being deployed under H2ME, 3 hydrogen refuelling stations are currently being deployed in London, as part of the FCHJU HyFive project, and a further 2 in California, at Riverside City, and Chino (Hyundai’s HQ).
