Communaute d’agglomeration Sarreguemines Confluences
The Communauté d’Agglomération Sarreguemines Confluences (CASC) is a local metropolitan community composed of 26 municipalities. Located in the North-East of France at the border with Germany, it counts 52 562 inhabitants spread over 80 mi². It covers a mixed of rural and urban areas, where the automotive industry represents one of the main activities with local branches of international firms such as Continental and smart implemented locally.
The CASC is a key local stakeholder due to its diverse responsibilities leading to a strong involvement with local development activities such as economic development, public transportation, land-planning, environment (with actions nationally recognized), collection of household and assimilated wastes, culture, sport and tourism.
