The Danish Minister for Environment, Lea Wermelin (the Social Democratic Party), went out on a green ride in Copenhagen in a Hyundai Nexo FCEV. As the Minister for Environment, Lea Wermelin has made it a priority to focus on air quality and is therefore a champion of zero-emission transport. The Danish government has put forward an ambitious goal of a 70% CO2-reduction by 2030 as compared to the 1990-level and has made a strong commitment to environmental protection. One of the most important challenges in reaching this target is cutting emissions from the transport sector and the government is very committed to advancing sustainable transport including fuel cell and hydrogen solutions.
