H2ME successfully presented at this year’s LCV in the UK

Cenex LCV is Europe’s premier low carbon vehicle event showcasing automotive innovation in low carbon vehicle technologies and attravint UK and international motor industry engineers. It features a technology exhibition, an extensive seminar programme, facilitated networking with the low carbon community and ride and drive of the latest research and development and commercially available vehicles. LCV2016 was the largest event to date with over 3100 attendees and 122 vehicles on display.

The H2ME projects were showcased on the Cenex stand outlining the HRSs across Europe and providing an overview of the project including numbers of vehicles to be deployed, numbers of HRSs to be in operation and level of funding to the projects. Cenex also showcased the Hyundai ix35 FCEV on the stand. Arcola Energy also had an exhibition stand showcasing the Renault HyKangoo with the Symbio FCell fuel cell range extender.

Above that, P1040901Bart Biebuyck from the FCH JU visited the event with Element Energy and ITM Power, and presented on ‘Making Fuel Cells and Hydrogen a Reality in Europe.’

For the first time this year a journalist roundtable was held at Cenex-LCV2016. Bart Biebuyck, Executive Director of The Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking led the roundtable entitled: “Making Fuel Cells and Hydrogen a reality in Europe.” The journalists who participated found it to be very informative and also useful to gain first-hand knowledge from Bart, as well as ask important questions.
